Dr. Deepa Taneja

Dr. Deepa Taneja has obtained Doctorate in Economic Analysis of Various Retail Chains. She holds a vast experience in the field of Environment, Economics, Finance and Recycling. She worked as professor of Socio-Economics and Finance for 15 years, thereafter, moved ahead in the field of Environment and Socio-Economy.

For the past 15 years she has been the guiding force to her environment laboratory providing services viz., environment monitoring, Calibration of Online Continuous Emission/Effluent Monitoring System. She is a renowned personality in the field of Quality Assurance and Inspection. She also worked as Consulting partner in various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects for the Government of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and several more.

She is proficient in providing consultancy to numerous industrial projects for their CSR namely Education, Socio-economic development, Public Health and Sanitation. Founder Director & First President of the Recycling Environment Industries Association of India (REIAI). Under her guidance the REIAI organization has published several newsletters and magazines. REIA is dedicated towards sustainable future and converting our nation into a Zero Landfill Nation. Provides principles for guiding policy and priority setting, and includes an action plan for reducing and managing waste.

Mr. Ranjan Sahai

Mr. Sahai holds a B. Tech (Hon.) in Mining Engineering, from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. He served as Former Controller General at Indian Bureau of Mines. Experienced Consulting Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the mining & metals industry. Strong consulting professional skilled in Safety Management Systems, Minerals, Contract Management, Trading, and Joint Ventures
He served as a member of the Environmental Appraisal Committee for Mining project (Non-Coal) at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC).

He played an important role in the formulation of policy for conservation of minerals, framing of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) (MMDR) Bill 2011, amendment of MMDR Act 2015 and in the framing of the Sustainable Development Framework (SDF).

Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani

Dr. Gyani aims to provide single window solution and act as THINK TANK for all aspects related to Carbon and Odour, including research, education, training, technology etc., aiming to achieve SDG’s 2030. He has obtained Doctorate in Quality Management and Master’s Degree in Engineering. Currently he is working as Director General, Association of Healthcare Providers (India), with hands-on experience in Administration, Teaching, Training, Research and Development, Quality Management, Accreditation & Standardization. Rich experience of over 5-decades in administration, R&D and quality management. Widely recognised as founder of healthcare quality in India. SME World Magazine in its cover story of June 2012 issue, described him as ‘Quality Man of India’.

During his tenure as Secretary General, QCI (2003-12), played pivotal role in formulation and operating of National Accreditation Structure (NABH) for healthcare for the first time in the country, which resulted in improving patient safety in country and worked as its CEO till he superannuated in May 2012. In the area of education, based on the task assigned by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, then President of India, has the distinction of evolving for the first time in the country, the quality accreditation standard for schools which defines quality governance in schools for providing holistic development of students.

Worked extensively on improving effectiveness of quality certification process through actual field validation, findings of which have appeared in prominent international quality journals. Has distinction of being first Indian to have served as elected director on board of International Society for Quality in Health care for years 2009-14. Been instrumental in evolving similar standards for vocational training institutions and for skill assessment bodies, with a view to having skilled/employable workforce in the country.

Dr. Ajay Garg

Dr. Garg is currently working as Corporate Lawyer and Registered Valuer at AGB & Partners. He has obtained Post graduations in Economics (MA Eco), Commerce (M. Com) and Management (MBA). Besides LLB, he is Fellow Member of ICSI and ICA (Indian Council of Arbitration), IBBI Registered Valuer, Registered IPR Attorney, Qualified Insolvency Professional, Qualified Independent Director and Doctorate in Commerce. He is a diversified Professional, Effective Speaker, Technical Author – Writer and Social Entrepreneur with total corporate experience of 35 years.

He is a Mentor of Startup India portal and 56 startups are under his mentorship. Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and ICA (Indian Council of Arbitration), Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) Registered Valuer, Registered IPR Attorney, Qualified Insolvency Professional, Qualified Independent Director and Doctorate in Commerce. He regularly writes articles on corporate matters. He has delivered numerous lectures in professional and management Institutes and Engineering Colleges including ICSI, ICAI, ICoAI, MSME DI. He Served as Director on the Board of Corporation Bank (2008-2011) for a period of three years.

His social initiative Aa! Vyapaar Kar Le!! Is popular amongst youths in NCR region. Three books, first on “Financial Inclusion – Viable Opportunities in Urban India”, second on “Corporate Laws” and the third title “CA Professionals and SMEs in Make in India – Handbook for Practitioners” has been published. Dr. Nandini N.

Dr. Nandini is presently working as Professor and Principal Investigator in the Department of Environmental Science, Bangalore University, Bengaluru having 34 years of teaching and research experience. Has specialization in Ecology and Environment, Environmental microbiology, Limnology, Waste Management, Environmental Pollution and Management, Nanotechnology, Biodiversity Management and Climatology. She is a Chairperson, subject expert Committee (Environmental Science) constituted by Government of Karnataka for Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP-2020). Member of EAC, Thermal and Coal Mining Project, Ex-Member of EAC Industries-2 Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEF&CC), Government of India.

Member for Laboratory Committee Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, Government of Karnataka; Ex-Member of Court & Executive Council of the Central University of Hyderabad and Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Ananthpur.

She has received: Best Scientist Award from (EET CRS) which is the India’s largest Research & Branding Company; Woman Researcher Award presented at 1st International Scientist Award on Engineering, Science and Medicine from VD Good Professional Association; Excellency Award by Union of Geographic Information Technologists (UGIT); Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching and Scientific Research Excellence from Marina Labs Research Development Chennai; Best Citizen of India Award from International Publishing House; “ONAKE OBAVVA” from Light Minded Serving Association (NGO), Karnataka for the outstanding performance in academics. She has published nearly 100 research papers and 13 books including Environmental Science text books for under graduate and post graduate courses, Manual on Sampling and Analysis of water, waste water and municipal solid waste, Training manuals on water resource management in rural regions and Management of Emerging Environmental Issues.

Received Patent certificate from Intellectual Property India (IP), GoI for designing and fabricating Biological air purifier.

Dr. Ajay Deshpande

Prof. Deshpande boasts a distinguished career marked by extensive contributions to environmental policy, regulation, and management across various prestigious organizations and international platforms. Currently serving as the Adjunct Professor at the Ashank Desai Centre for Policy Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Professor Deshpande brings a wealth of academic insight and policy expertise to his role. His tenure as an Expert Member of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) from March 2013 to July 2017 underscores his pivotal role in adjudicating environmental disputes and shaping environmental jurisprudence in India through landmark decisions. His international experience includes serving as a part-time member of the Compliance Review Panel of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila from July 2017 to July 2022.

In this capacity, he contributed significantly to ensuring compliance with environmental and social safeguards in ADB-funded projects across Asia, highlighting his commitment to sustainable development on a regional scale. His career includes senior positions within the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, where he played instrumental roles in formulating and implementing environmental policies and regulations at the state level. His tenure as an Environmental Specialist at Water and Power Consultancy Services (WAPCOS) in New Delhi from 1992 to 1997 enriched his expertise in water resource management and environmental consultancy. Professor Deshpande’s leadership is further evident in his role as Chairman of the committee tasked by the NGT to monitor compliance with Hazardous Waste regulations nationwide, demonstrating his proactive approach to enforcing environmental standards.

His international engagements extend to collaborating with prominent organizations such as the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), where he contributed his expertise to regional environmental initiatives and policies. Throughout his career, Professor Deshpande has been a driving force in advancing environmental sustainability, policy formulation, and regulatory compliance both nationally and internationally. His academic achievements, coupled with his extensive practical experience in diverse environmental sectors, position him as a leading authority in environmental policy and governance.

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Dubey

Dr. Dubey is a well-known academic and administrator with a long and impressive career at many respected institutions and in government advisory roles. He served as a Professor Emeritus at Sri Sri University, Cuttack, Odisha, and as the Vice Chancellor of K. R. Mangalam University, Gurugram. He has also been Director at the Campus of Open Learning, Delhi University, and Vice Chancellor of Sanskriti University, Mathura. Dr. Dubey’s tenure at Delhi University included roles such as Dean of the Science Faculty and Professor and Head of the Department of Geology.

His expertise in geospatial technology and environmental sciences is recognized through his membership in various expert panels and committees. He was an Expert Member of the Program Advisory Committee for Geospatial Technology under the Natural Resources Data Management System (NRDMS), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India (2017-2020), and served on the Geospatial Technology Policy Consultative Committee from 2009 to 2015.

Additionally, he was an Expert Member of the Expert Appraisal Committee for Industries at the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate change (MoEFCC) from 2009 to 2015. He has contributed to groundwater research as a Member of the Expert Panel for R&D proposals at the Indian National Committee on Ground Water (INCGW), CGW, during 2010-2011 and was an Expert Member for the River Valley Project at the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change from 1992 to 1996.
