Dr. Sunil Gulia
Dr. Sunil Gulia is a Senior Scientist at the CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) Delhi Zonal Centre. He holds a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, specializing in Air Pollution. With over 15 years of experience in air quality management, Dr. Gulia has made significant contributions while working at esteemed academic and research institutions such as IIT Delhi, the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), and NEERI.
Dr. Gulia has coordinated numerous major international and national projects focused on urban air quality management, the impact of agricultural stubble burning on air quality in Delhi NCR, airshed management approaches, indoor air quality, and industrial air pollution consultancy projects. He is proficient in using air pollution dispersion modeling software such as CALPUFF, AERMOD, ADMS-Urban, ISCST3, and CALINE-4.
Dr. Gulia has an impressive publication record, with over 35 research articles and book chapters in peer-reviewed journals. He has supervised the dissertation work of more than 25 master’s students and co-supervised one Ph.D. student. His specialized areas of expertise include air quality dispersion modeling, urban air quality management, vehicular pollution management, pollution emission inventory development, environmental impact assessment, and indoor air quality.
